Banksy
Banksy is a street artist that needs no introduction. It was Banksy's art that made me re-think about grafing and look into something more constructive. I have no illusions of becoming a famous street artist, but I would like to supplement my income with extra work from my own art.
Here are some of my favourite images of Banksy's many masterpieces.

This image resonated with me because none of my graffer friends supported my plans to create art rather than tag walls with unreadable rubbish.
I love this pic because the dog on the leash is taken from another artist - Keith Harring: another artist I really love.
There are 2 reasons I like this image - I love the slogan. And it the stenciling that the image is holding is the way Banksy creates most of his art. This is a type of street art that I want to get into.
As a Christian I don't usually like images of Christ being used for metaphoric mockery, but I like this image because it portrays what the birth and death of Jesus has turned into - commercial excuses to shop for gifts and chocolate eggs.
Keith Harring
Keith Harring was the artist in the 80's who made street art popular. His simple imagery is visually pleasing, but at the same time they often tell a story.
His work is often reproduced on tee-shirts which represents how widely popular and relevant his art is.
I love how something so simple can be so effective.
The simplicity in his art needs no narrative.

Its easy to see how Kieth's art can be so inspiring to a new street artist.
